ZHAO Xudong

ZHAO Xudong serves as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at China University of Political Science and Law, Director of Commercial Law Research Center. Previously, he held the position of Deputy Director-General of the Civil and Administrative Prosecution Department at the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

As a leading figure in China's legal academia, Professor Zhao chairs the China Commercial Law Society and sits on the Academic Committee of the China Law Society. He concurrently serves as Vice President of the Corporate Governance Research Association under the China Behavior Law Association. His distinguished contributions to jurisprudence have earned him multiple national honors: Outstanding Young Jurist (3rd National Selection), Chang Jiang Scholar Professor (Ministry of Education's highest accolade), recipient of the State Council Special Allowance for eminent contributions, and National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" Teaching Master.

Professor Zhao has significantly influenced China's legislative development through his participation as an expert advisor in the 2005 and 2019 amendments to the Company Law of the People's Republic of China. He further contributed to the landmark Civil Code project as both a member of the China Law Society's Leadership Group and co-lead of the Contract Section drafting committee.
